   Main Goals:

  • Modification and development of equipment for high-energy grinding of crushed rubber (equipment and production process must allow simultaneous grinding and mixing of vulcanized or devulcanized rubber with suitable chemical additives or plasticizers, as well as in the final stage of mixing rubber with additives and asphalt binder in one step).

  • Development of stable asphalt binders modified with crushed rubber (CRmB, MRmB) with emphasis on sufficient functional characteristics and especially product homogeneity during storage.

  • Development and innovative solutions of various types of acoustic asphalt layers or systems usable in urban areas and on capacity roads in the vicinity of cities and municipalities. Based on foreign knowledge, it is expected to gradually develop our own solutions, especially for abrasive pavement layers.
